Currently, there are ten known places in Libya where frozen yogurt is served. Interestingly, only two of these are dedicated froyo chains—both branches of the international brand Pinkberry. The rest are gelato shops that have added frozen yogurt to their menus, blending Italian tradition with contemporary cravings.
Our list of ten inventive frozen yogurt flavors represents four countries, with the United States contributing five of the most imaginative flavors.
There were fewer openings in the short month of February than in January. We found 43 new businesses serving froyo in 16 countries, compared to 49 new froyo businesses in 17 countries in January. The United States had the most openings again, with six, followed by The Philippines, Australia, and Mexico with five each.
We found 20 places to get froyo in Jordan. The majority of froyo shops opened in Amman. Of the 20 shops we found, all except Tutti Frutti, are counter-serve. There are international franchises like Pinkberry, Tutti Frutti, Yogen Fruz, and Shakeaway. Gerard Ice Cream, founded in Amman, Jordan, in 1995, has the most locations. While it is a hard scoop ice cream shop, it also offers soft serve ice cream and froyo.
Greek frozen yogurt is having a moment again — and this time, the momentum feels more global and more durable than the early 2010s froyo boom. Over the past few years, a new wave of Greek-style frozen yogurt shops has emerged across South America, Europe, the Middle East, and parts of Asia, with early signs of renewed interest in North America as well. What’s driving this resurgence, where is the surge taking place, and which brands are shaping the movement?

And the new year begins with 49 froyo openings in 17 countries in January, even fewer than December’s 52 new froyo businesses in 19 countries. It’s traditionally the slowest time of year for froyo, though. The most openings occurred in the United States with nine, followed by the Philippines with seven; the two countries are usually the leaders in froyo shop openings.
