This year, we found 87 new froyo and froyo alternative flavors introduced by froyo shops. Last year, we found 53 new froyo and froyo alternative flavors. While this is quite a jump in new flavors, the increase is mostly due to the addition of MYKA Greek, which introduced two new flavors a month in 2025. Without considering MKYA, we found 63 new froyo and froyo alternative flavors in 2025.
We found twelve new froyo trucks and trailers that launched in 2025, compared to twelve new mobile froyo businesses in 2024 (and 17 in 2023). The US had the most openings with eight in 2025. It also had the most openings in 2024, with seven.
November was a busy month for froyo. We found 77 new businesses serving froyo in 24 countries, compared to 48 new businesses serving froyo in 20 countries in October. The United States had the most openings again, with fourteen, followed by the Philippines with twelve, and Australia with eight. Significant openings include the first Pinkberry in Austria and the first Yogurt World in Japan.

Yes, Guam has frozen yogurt. Today, only one frozen yogurt shop remains, Yogurtland in Tamuning. Five other froyo shops have since closed, reflecting the challenges of sustaining niche dessert concepts in a small market. The frozen yogurt shops in Guam have mostly been self-serve, part of an international franchise, and mall-based. The preference has been for US-style frozen yogurt shops. Also, since Guam is a U.S. territory, it is easier for U.S.-based businesses to expand to Guam.

The International Frozen Yogurt Association (IFYA) today announced the results of its annual frozen yogurt consumer survey, revealing that frozen yogurt consumers in 2025 are driven by a strong desire for high-quality products and new offerings. The findings also indicate that while consumers are increasingly price-sensitive, the majority say that they are willing to pay a premium for a superior product.
