Every year, our survey collects real insights about how Americans enjoy frozen yogurt — your habits, your preferences, and the little details that keep you coming back. The results are shared with frozen yogurt shops and industry leaders across the country, and this year’s findings will be compared to last year’s to see what’s changing and what’s staying the same.
September was another strong month for frozen yogurt. We tracked 109 new businesses serving froyo across 26 countries, less than August’s 126 new places serving froyo in 31 countries. The United States once again had the most openings, with 34, compared to 31 in August, with South Florida and NYC continuing to be froyo hot spots. Australia and Indonesia tied for 2nd place with nine openings each.

Our research found 25 places in Tunisia where you can get frozen yogurt in soft serve form. Most are gelaterie, dessert bars, or jwejem shops that added froyo to their menus. Only two can be considered primarily froyo shops, Yoli Frozen Yogurt and Elli D’Alfonso. We did not find any self-serve frozen yogurt shops. Many are relatively new, opening in the last 6 years. It is common for dessert shops to have multiple branches.
While it’s impossible to catalog every frozen yogurt shop past and present — the sheer number makes a complete history impractical — we can highlight the largest chains currently operating in the Philippines. These brands represent the core of today’s froyo landscape and illustrate how the category continues to evolve.
