March Froyo Shop Openings and Closings
Froyo activity is picking up. In March, we found 58 new froyo shops in 22 countries, compared to February’s 44 new froyo shops in 14 countries. There were more openings than January’s 53 new froyo shops in 16 countries.
The most openings occurred in Indonesia with thirteen, followed by the United States with eleven, and the Philippines with eight. It’s the first time since August 2023 that the Philippines hasn’t had the most froyo openings. Llaollao had the most openings, with five, followed by Chimmy, J CO, and Yole with four a piece.
Froyo in Belgium: History, Trends, & Shops
The first froyo shop opened in Belgium in 2011. In 2024, we found 26 shops that serve soft serve froyo. Most froyo shops in Belgium are counter-serve. The only exception is Planet Yoghurt, which recently switched to flat-rate pricing, while continuing to offer self-serve froyo.
