We can’t cover creative froyo flavors without telling you about creative froyo toppings. The ten creative froyo toppings that we selected represent seven countries. The Philippines, United States, and Australia appear on the list with two toppings each. Six of the ten toppings come from Asia, and five were inspired by local tastes. Five were sauces or drizzles, and four were baked goods. Some of the toppings were made in-house. Collaborations were common as well.
None of the shops on our creative froyo flavors list made the creative toppings list.

Buldak Spice, Yogurberry, Australia, IG @yogurberryaustralia
Taking inspiration from the viral Buldak spice trend, Yogurberry in Australia added dried ramen and Buldak spice straight from the packet to froyo. Buldak is a line of spicy instant ramen from South Korea. Buldak’s flavor profile fits with the swicy (sweet + spicy) trend. People enjoy using the Buldak spice packets in unexpected food pairings. Summer Love Frozen Yogurt in Kazakhstan also created the Hot Buldak froyo, but Yogurberry was the first.
Dino Choco Malt First Crush Sauce, BLK 513, Philippines, IG @blk513ph
BLK 513 is back on the creative toppings list with Dino Choco First Crush Sauce, made with MILO Philippines. The rich malted chocolate is a taste of childhood. Last year, BLK 513 made our creative toppings list with the Holy Mango Sticky Rice Cup with sticky rice, fresh carabao mangoes, froyo, Holy Mango sauce, and toasted pinipig. Pinipig is a Filipino toasted rice product made by pounding immature glutinous rice grains until flat, toasting them until they puff up.
Duck Shing Ho Egg Rolls, Noon Frozen Yogurt, Hong Kong, IG @noon.dfd
Noon Frozen Yogurt in Hong Kong offered Duck Shing Ho egg rolls, known as Hong Kong’s hardest-to-get egg roll, as a froyo topping. A Hong Kong egg roll is a thin, flaky, and crispy biscuit that melts in your mouth. Think of them as crispy roll cookies.
Fruity Pavlova, YOMG, Australia, IG @yomgaustralia
Australian froyo shops like YOMG are elevating their toppings game with housemade toppings. YOMG partnered with digital content creators, Lily and Lucy Cohen, to introduce a fruity pavlova and cinnamon scroll to the toppings bar for a limited time. Pavlova is a meringue-based dessert that features an airy baked meringue topped with whipped cream and fresh fruit. The dessert may have been created first in Australia, though New Zealand disputes this claim.
Cookies & Cream Spirulina Shell, Thank You Cup, Thailand, IG @thankyoucup
We’ve seen plenty of dessert shells, but Cookies & Cream Spirulina Shell from Thank You Cup in Thailand stood out, thanks to the addition of spirulina. It was one of the toppings of the month in October 2025. The sauce was made with white chocolate and crushed chocolate cookies. The addition of spirulina added a pretty blue shade to the sauce. Spirulina is an algae known for its high protein, vitamin, and mineral content.
Halo Halo Bites, Pinkberry, Philippines, IG @pinkberryph
Pinkberry Philippines introduced Halo Halo Bites in May 2025. The Halo Halo Bites featured ube jam and coconut bits. Halo Halo is a beloved Filipino shaved ice dessert that’s made with fruit, ice cream, jellies, and more. Last year, Pinkberry Philippines made our creative toppings list with a local favorite, Greg’s Banana Crunch, a crispy snack made with ripe bananas.
Orange Chiffon Cake, Yo-Chi, Singapore, IG @iloveyochi.sg
Yo-Chi in Singapore partnered with a local small business, @tiaptiap.treats, for its first local collab, two Chinese New Year toppings: orange chiffon cake and love letters wafers. Both treats were inspired by Chinese Lunar New Year. Oranges are typically given in pairs during the New Year. They are considered to be a symbol of good fortune.
Spiced Nuts, Pinkberry, United States, IG @pinkberryswirl
Last summer, when Pinkberry launched the new Summer Melon froyo flavor, it was accompanied by an unexpected new topping, spiced nuts. The spiced nuts were a sweet and savory crunchy trail mix with almonds, peanuts, pepitas, corn nuts, and crackers.
Tahini Chocolate Crunch, MELI Frozen Yogurt, United States, IG @melifrozenyogurt
MELI in Miami Shores, Florida, opened in November 2025 and specializes in clean, no sugar added frozen yogurt with curated toppings like tahini chocolate crunch.
Wasabi Sukidayo, Sour Sally, Indonesia, IG @soursallycoid
Sour Sally in Indonesia introduced its new Japanese series toppings in June 2025. The new toppings included wasabi peas and wasabi sukidayo, a creamy wasabi-flavored drizzle, and oishi wasabi mame, aka wasabi peas.
