We love trying new froyo flavors, especially when shops push the boundaries of creativity. This year’s standout flavors lean into exotic fruits and bold profiles that move beyond traditional sweetness into bitter, sour, and even salty territory.
Our list of ten inventive flavors represents four countries, with the United States contributing five of the most imaginative flavors.
Here are ten of the most creative frozen yogurt flavors introduced over the past year, presented in alphabetical order.
Beignet froyo, Stelly’s Froyo, United States, IG @stellysfroyo
Stelly’s Froyo joins our list of Creative Froyo Flavors for the first time. Founded after our last Creative Froyo Flavors list was published, Stelly’s Froyo is a small batch, organic froyo pop-up based in New Orleans, LA. The beignet froyo flavor is a nod to NOLA. It features beignet-infused milk, vanilla bean paste, and Greek yogurt.
Cottage Griego froyo, Froze, Mexico, IG @frozeags
With consumers craving more protein, Froze in Mexico introduced Lyncott cottage cheese froyo in October 2025. Lyncott cottage cheese has 12g of protein per serving.
Figs & Feta Cheese froyo, MYKA Greek, Spain, IG @myka_greek
MYKA Greek, founded in Spain, has outlets in multiple countries. It is known for its high-quality Greek frozen yogurt, which is made with imported Greek yogurt, milk, and kefir. MYKA’s figs and feta cheese froyo sounds like it would be savory, sweet, and salty.
Honey Cornbread froyo, Eb & Bean, United States, IG @ebandbean
Eb & Bean in Portland, Oregon, makes our creative froyo flavor list every year. Last year, they made it on our creative flavors list with Honeyed Grapefruit with Bitters froyo. This year, they have two flavors on our creative flavors list. Cornbread with sweet and savory notes always sounds good.
Mint Grapefruit Mate froyo, Eb & Bean, United States, IG @ebandbean
Eb & Bean’s Mint Grapefruit Mate froyo was inspired by Mate Party’s Mint Grapefruit Mate beverage. Mate Party is based in Portland, Oregon. The sparkling yerba mate beverages are hand-crafted, low in sugar, and free of fake sweeteners.
Moutai froyo, OH MY YO, Australia, IG @ohmyyo.com.au
We’ve been seeing Moutai all over, but OH MY YO in Australia was the first to create Moutai froyo in collaboration with Moutai. Moutai is a high-end Chinese spirit. OH MY YO launched in Sydney last year, offering global froyo flavors in a self-serve format and yogurt drinks.
Panettone froyo, MYKA Greek, Spain, IG @myka_greek
MYKA introduced Panettone Greek frozen yogurt in December 2025. Panettone is an Italian holiday bread associated with Christmas. MYKA also sold panettone in December.
Purple Lotus plant-based froyo, Yoga-urt, United States, IG @yoga-urt
Yoga-urt’s Purple Lotus plant-based froyo combines watermelon and hibiscus for a refreshing, sweet but slightly tart flavor. It was created for Yoga-urt’s tenth anniversary. Yoga-urt has four shops in greater Los Angeles. The yogurt is organic, hand-crafted, and amazingly delicious.
White Mystery Froyo Heads froyo, 16 Handles, United States, IG @16handles
White Mystery Froyo Heads from 16 Handles is an intriguing frozen yogurt creation that takes inspiration from the iconic candy, White Mystery Air Head, with surprise fruity swirls in each batch. Last year, 16 Handles made the creative froyo flavors list with French Fry froyo, a sweet and salty flavor made with real potato french fry pieces.
Watermelon & Yuzu plant-based froyo, FREO, Australia, IG @letsfreo
FREO first opened in Sydney, Australia in February 2024. The frozen atelier is a premium self-serve froyo, made with 100% Australian pot set yoghurt, and gelato experience. They made the creative flavors list last year with Banana, Salted Caramel, and White Miso froyo. Watermelon & yuzu is a combination that we haven’t seen before.
