The National Frozen Yogurt Consumer Survey was designed to measure loyalty, liking for major frozen yogurt chains, frozen yogurt preferences, current and future consumption (including what might make them visit froyo shops more often), and purchasing habits.

We are conducting the National Frozen Yogurt Survey to better understand the US frozen yogurt market.  The consumer survey includes questions about frozen yogurt consumption, preferences, and attitudes. The results of our surveys will be shared with frozen yogurt stores and others in the frozen yogurt industry. We’ll also compare this year’s results with the results from prior years to uncover trends over time.

Our survey asks about frozen yogurt consumption, attitudes, and preferences. The results of our survey will be shared with frozen yogurt shops and others in the frozen yogurt industry. We’ll also compare this year’s survey results to last year’s survey results.

New Book Explains the Process Behind Froyo Shop Design

Mindful Design Consulting is celebrating its 15th year in business with the release of another book, Small Dessert Shop Design Extravaganza, that gives readers a taste of its work. The projects featured in this volume are selected from among the more than 300 completed by Mindful Design Consulting over the years. Most of these designs are for dessert stores, and many are for frozen yogurt shops.

Froyo Trends: Dessert Nachos

We’re often asked by froyo shops for new simple new menú ideas. Here’s one that’s currently a hot new food trend on TikTok: ice cream nachos, aka dessert nachos. Ice cream nachos are usually made with waffle chips, ice cream (often soft serve), toppings, and sauce on top or on the side.

The Science of Flavor Pairings & Froyo

We looked at flavor pairing research to try to understand why certain froyo flavors make better pairs than others. There are a variety of food pairing approaches, including a chemical analysis of the food’s odorants/odor profile (Foodpairing.com approach) and an analysis of existing recipes (Flavorfox approach).

How Yogurt Park, the Oldest Froyo Shop in the Bay Area, Became a Local Institution that’s Doing Better than Ever

When asked what makes Yogurt Park so successful, Ryan attributes it to history, location, and the loyalty of generations of Yogurt Park fans. Many customers can remember coming to Yogurt Park with their parents or grandparents. UCB alumni have fond memories of late night froyo runs and they’ll come in for a froyo when they return to campus. They have customers who come every day.

Should Your Froyo Shop Go Cashless?

While many coffee shops have gone cashless, cashless froyo shops are much rarer, though they do exist. A Yogurtland location in Denver went cashless after multiple robberies in 2020.
