Froyo shops are closing for the season, but we’re still finding froyo openings. We found 41 froyo shop openings in 14 countries in September, compared to 44 openings in 17 countries in August. The most openings occurred in the US, though only two of the seven were froyo shops (the others served froyo but weren’t primarily froyo shops). Indonesia, Ecuador, and Mexico had four openings a piece.

Sadly, we also found ten froyo shop closings, including the last Pinkberry in New Orleans and a 30-year-old shop, Yogurt World USA in Petaluma, California.
