Froyo shops keep opening, even though it’s a slow time of year for froyo in North America and Europe. However, it’s a busy time for froyo in Asia.
We found 62 new froyo shops that opened in November, compared to 50 new froyo shops in October. There were froyo shop openings in 19 countries, with the Philippines leading the way again with 16 openings. They also had the most openings in September and October. Indonesia and Malaysia tied for second place, with seven openings a piece.
Llaollao, the largest froyo chain in Europe and Asia, opened an impressive eleven branches in November, compared to eight branches in October. Sour Sally opened three new shops in Indonesia and Greenfrost opened three in Ecuador.
Sadly, we also found ten froyo shop closings, though two say they’re moving and one is being converted into another froyo shop.
