We’re still in a slow period for frozen yogurt activity, which is typical for February. This February we found 44 new froyo shops in 14 countries, compared to 53 froyo shop openings in 16 countries in January. The Philippines once again had the most openings, with ten in February, followed by five in Australia and five in the United States. Yogurt World in South Korea had the most openings, with four. Llaollao opened three new branches.
Sadly, we also found five froyo shop closings. In one case, the shop plans to move. In the other, the shop was sold and will remain a froyo business under a new name.
