Froyo activity is slowing down with the end of summer. We found 51 froyo shop openings in 20 countries in August, compared to 60 new froyo shops in 21 countries in July and 87 new froyo shops in 25 countries in June. The United States had the most openings just as in July, with thirteen, followed by the Philippines with seven. The Philippines also had the 2nd highest number of new froyo shops in July.
Llaollao, the largest froyo chain in Europe and Asia, opened five branches in August. Tutti Frutti has been steadily adding new locations in Australia.
Sadly, we also found seven froyo shop closings, including the last Menchie’s location in Hawaii.
