Reliant Foodservice, Southern California’s one-stop shop for coffee shops, froyo shops, and smoothie/juice bars, held its annual product show at the Anaheim Hilton Hotel on August 20. There were over 80 exhibiting manufactures, show specials, complimentary lunch, and the return of the Acai Bowl Competition.
Reliant Foodservice is your source for organic, vegan, gluten-free, non-GMO, and all-natural products. The show included frozen yogurt and non-dairy frozen dessert mixes, soft serve machines, acai, ice cream, beverages (e.g., kombucha, smoothies, juice, bottled water, coffee, tea, CBD enhanced drinks, alternative milks), healthy snacks, baked goods, granola, toppings, sauces, flavorings, ingredients, and packaging. Exhibitors included Dannon YoCream, TR Toppers, Frozen Bean, Dole, Oatly, Ghirardelli, and Monin.
We were a bit disappointed by the lack of new products after a two year pause.
Frozen Yogurt and Soft Serve
Soft serve mix suppliers were present at the Expo, including Dannon YoCream, Frozen Bean, Oatly, and Dole Soft Serve.
Oatly Vanilla soft serve, made with Oatly oat milk, was recently offered at Menchie’s. They brought their Vanilla and Chocolate vegan oat milk soft serve to the show.
The Frozen Bean brought their Sunkist soft serve, made with no artificial color, no artificial flavors and reduced sugar. We first encountered Sunkist soft serve at Reliant Expo2019. Sunkist soft serve has 5g of sugar per serving and contains Stevia, vitamin C, vitamin D, and zinc. These are powder mixes. The available flavors are Pineapple, Orange, Strawberry, and Peach.
Get Bowl’d Acai Bowl Competition
Reliant held their annual acai bowl competition. Cyber Yogurt of El Monte, CA (@cyber_yogurt) won in 2018 and they reclaimed the top spot this year with their Very Berry acai bowl.
