July was a good month for froyo shop openings, though there were many fewer openings than in June (National Frozen Yogurt Month). We found 60 new froyo shops in 21 countries in July, compared to 87 new froyo shops in 25 countries in June. The United States had the most openings, with fifteen, followed by the Philippines with nine.
Llaollao, the largest froyo chain in Europe and Asia, opened three branches in July. Happy Yo had the most openings, with four in Italy.
Sadly, we also found six froyo shop closings. Three of the shops were over 12 years old.
