IFYA’s Goals for 2020

Happy Froyo New Year! We hope that your new year will be filled with lots of delicious frozen yogurt.

We ended 2019 with our annual review, 2019 The Year in Froyo Review, which included the significant trends and events of the year. Now we’d like to look forward to the new year with our goals for the year.

Goal #1: Expanded coverage

When we initially founded the IFYA, we wanted to stay focused on frozen yogurt as much as possible. However, as the industry matured, we saw that most shops evolved to offer more than frozen yogurt. Our Third Annual National Frozen Yogurt Shop Owner Survey found that 95% of respondents sell more than frozen yogurt. The most common “other offerings” were other frozen goods & drinks, i.e., shakes, smoothies, ice cream, gelato, and frozen custard. We’re expanding our coverage to better meet the needs of our members and followers.

Goal #2: More independent froyo shop stories

We would love to feature more stories about successful independent froyo shops. Our members and followers have been asking for success stories for years. If you’d like to have us feature your shop, please send us an email at info@internationalfrozenyogurt.com. You’ll get the recognition, appreciation, and admiration of your peers in return.

Goal #3: Promoting frozen yogurt the industry

This was one of our original goals when we founded the association. It’s still our goal and one that we need help with, from others in the industry. We’d love to collaborate with others who want to help achieve the same goal. Let’s work together to find ways to promote greater frozen yogurt awareness and consumption.
