IFYA’s Goals for 2019

Happy Froyo New Year! May your year be filled with froyo and joy.

We ended 2018 with our annual feature, 2018 The Year in Froyo Review. We’d like to start this year by sharing some of the suggestions we received from the froyo shop owners and then discuss what we can do to adopt the suggestions.

The suggestions come from the Second National Frozen Yogurt Shop Owners Survey. We included a question  about how we could better serve froyo shop owners. Our respondents would like to see the following from us.

Marketing advice

Our site provides marketing advice in two forms: original content that we’ve created or articles written by others in our article library. We also track and share frozen yogurt news, which may give you marketing ideas.

We will continue to add to our article library and publish original content. And, we welcome suggestions for article topics and contributing writers. If you’d like to contribute a post, let us know at info@internationalfrozenyogurt.com

Networking opportunities

When the IFYA launched, we had online forums for frozen yogurt shop owners and fans. Because of the lack of activity, we discontinued the online forums. However, we still want to hear from you and facilitate networking opportunities. Shop owners are welcome to comment on our blog and social media accounts on Facebook, Instagram, and Twitter. Our goal is to eventually offer an annual conference.

Supplier reviews

We agree that having supplier reviews would be very useful. That’s why we created an online supplier directory. Vendors are provided a listing free of charge, with the option of creating an enhanced listing for greater visibility. However, we need the help of the community in order to make the directory more useful. If have you had an experience with a frozen yogurt vendor, please write a review for our directory. Any registered IFYA user can write a review.

Flavor ideas and recipes

This is a great suggestion and we hope to share a post about this topic, written by an IFYA expert with experience developing flavors, soon.

Success stories of independent froyo shops

Check out our Swirl of Honor page, for profiles of our member shops, most of which are independent froyo shops. We created the Swirl of Honor program to recognize froyo shop excellence. In addition, we also share stories others have written about successful frozen yogurt shops.
