The holiday season is here and some of you are wondering what to get for your froyo loving friend or loved one. We adore froyo related gifts and we’ve searched the web to find them. This year, these are our top picks:
* For your crafty DIY friends: Know someone who knows how to crochet or cross stitch? Give him/her the pattern to make a crochet frozen yogurt ($3.50, CopaceticCrocheter, Etsy) or cross stitch ($4.95, The Frosted Pumpkin Stitchery) and maybe you’ll get a finished product in return.
* For teen girls: Get Cottonfood’s plush ice cream/froyo popsicle. So kawaii!
* For the person you like to snuggle on the couch with: A set of four mini Tovolo ice cream/froyo/gelato containers (aka Sweet Treats Tubs, $13.57, Amazon) will up your lazy hours spent on the couch. Each tub holds one quart. They’re perfect for holding froyo and toppings. Throw in DVDs of Girls, Gossip Girls and Pretty Little Liars. Eat froyo and count the number of froyo references.
* One size fits all froyo mug: Get a cute I Heart FY (FY = Forever Yogurt but it could also stand for Frozen Yogurt) mug ($5) at Forever Yogurt shops. Imagine your froyo loving friend drinking coffee out of that mug everyday or eating froyo out of the mug. Look for the nearest location on the Forever Yogurt website.
* For the ornament exchange: Deck a friend’s Christmas tree with Yogurtland’s first ornament ($2.99), it looks like a cup of Yogurtland froyo with berries. Get it at your local Yogurtland location.
* For the cook: Williams Sonoma carries three frozen yogurt starters ($12.95): tart chocolate, lemon cookie and honey vanilla bean. Just add plain yogurt and milk to the base, pour into an ice cream/froyo maker and your froyo will be ready in 20 minutes. Feeling generous? Add an ice cream/froyo maker and froyo recipe books.
* Rent a froyo truck: While you could rent a froyo machine, you’ll still have to make your own froyo. Go all out to impress that special someone by renting a froyo truck. Prices and availability vary but check out the Roaming Hunger site for food trucks and rental information.
