History of Pinkberry in Thailand

Pinkberry’s last remaining shop in Thailand closed on April 30, 2022. The first shop opened in March 2015 at Central Chidlom in Bangkok. The franchisee, Rangsinee Piyasombatkul, fell in love with Pinkberry when she was traveling in the US. Frozen yogurt wasn’t widely available in Thailand yet but ice cream shops were everywhere. Piyasombatkul’s intent was to sell Pinkberry as a premium lifestyle brand and to encourage as many people as possible to taste Pinkberry. To do this, Pinkberry Thailand partnered with gyms, fashion brands, and celebrities, and had several pop-up locations with free samples.

Five shops opened between 2015 – 2016 and one opened in 2019. Seven years is a good run, though it’s sad to think of Pinkberry fans in Thailand losing access to their favorite froyo.
