Brooklyn Fro-Yo, 5800 Avenue U, Brooklyn, NY 11234
The Brooklyn Fro-Yo, IG @brooklynfroyo, opened late last year. The froyo shop also offers boba tea, waffles and pastries (cannolis, cake, cake pops and more).
Chill Spud, coming soon to Buckhead, Atlanta, GA
The Chill Spud, IG @the_chill_spud, is a gourmet baked potato and froyo bar coming soon to Buckhead (Atlanta, Georgia). We love baked potatoes and froyo and love the idea of making a full meal out of a baked potato with toppings and froyo with toppings.
Fiji Yogurt, 1010 University Ave., Suite C103, San Diego, CA 92103
Andrea Hudnell purchased Fiji Yogurt, in the Hillcrest neighborhood of San Diego, in 2018. The self-serve froyo shop is known for unique flavors (some made in house) and toppings. They’re also known for their colorful decor and local art. The shop originally opened in 2008 and became a neighborhood staple.
Frozen Kups, 4481 School House Commons, Harrisburg, NC 28075
Frozen Kups, IG @frozenkups, is a self-serve froyo shop that charges by cup size, not weight. The family-friendly shop first opened in 2018 and was named a Neighborhood Favorite by Nextdoor, based on the votes of local Nextdoor users.

This mobile frozen yogurt and desserts truck, IG @iscream yogurt, has been serving the Sacramento, CA area since 2019. The business is female owned. The froyo base is mixed with cereal, candy, fruit and other toppings to create a custom flavor.

Melon Seed Deli & Frozen Yogurt, 3807 Center St, Tacoma, WA 98409
The Melon Seed’s ginormous Bahama Mama (froyo swirled onto a pineapple with toppings) caught our eye years ago. Husband and wife, Mac and Tashia Charles, opened the business in 2013, after falling in love with froyo in New York and wanting to bring froyo to Tacoma. According to Cincinnati Magazine, “Roxana Turner has owned and operated the Menchie’s Frozen Yogurt location at Harper’s Station for five years and counting. Menchie’s Village at Cumberland Park first opened in 2015 and they even have a mobile unit.

Pomegranate Frozen Yogurt, aka The Pome, opened in 2016. Sweet Dreams Froyo opened in 2019. They sell froyo, candies and sweets. They took over the old Forever Yogurt space in Bronzeville.
Swirl Bliss, 1777 Grand Ave, Baldwin, NY 11510
Swirl Bliss is Baldwin’s first self-serve froyo shop, opening in 2013. We featured , NY was featured recently in our blog when the owner, Carline Dickens, graciously shared how the coronavirus had impacted her business.

YoFresh Café, 635 Chicago Ave #7, Evanston, IL 60202
Jean and Larry Murphy, owners, describe YoFresh Cafe as “a community gathering place offering coffee/espresso, light meals, pastries, frozen yogurt, smoothies and protein shakes, along with free WiFi, board games, a community library, and comfortable seating.” They wanted to offer a healthy menu and create a business that allowed them to support travel programs for marginalized local youth. The shop first opened in 2014.
Yogurtini The Plaza & Shoal Creek in Kansas City, MO, and Overland Park, KS
Isaac Collins, the owner of three Yogurtini locations is a local KC entrepreneur who purchased Yogurtini Plaza in 2015, Yogurtini Shoal Creek in 2018, and Yogurtini Overland Park in 2020. He previously owned a Rocky Mountain Chocolate Factory shop in Williamsburg, Iowa. Isaac also co-founded Superhero Yoga, a non-profit dedicated to bringing yoga to underprivileged students in Kansas City.

YoJay’s, 1105 Main St Suite 401, Forest Park, GA 30297
YoJay’s, a self-serve froyo shop, opened in 2017 and later added a mobile trailer unit. YoJay’s To Go is the only self-serve, soft serve mobile unit in Georgia. Follow YoJay’s on IG @yojays.
We’re sharing their story: “In 2016; in an effort to bring a major yogurt chain to our community we applied to a franchise in which approved us to be franchisee, but did not want our location (Forest Park, GA). For them theirs a formula to success and they tell you where your location is going to be. For us; It was our investment; It was us taking the chance; it was us believing in more and wanting more for our community ; we were not going to budge on the location; we were not willing to settle for anything less..
Ultimately, We knew that we had to create our own brand and our own franchise. We wanted to have a place that families could come; that young couples could go on a date; a place where people could have a clean environment; and get amazing customer service; a place where people could be comfortable.
We created the brand “YoJay’s in which the “Yo” is for Yogurt and the “Jay” is our daughter’s name. Even though “Yo” is for Yogurt we are a frozen treat shop and on July 4th, 2017 YoJay’s opened it’s door and our Grand Opening was a huge success! Everyone in our community came out to grab a frozen treat cup!.

YoJay’s now has a Mobile Trailer Unit in conjunction with our Store and we are slated to open another 5 Stores within the next few year’s!”
