December was a slower month for froyo openings. We found 52 new businesses serving froyo in 19 countries, far fewer than the 77 new businesses serving froyo in 24 countries we found in November.
Australia had the most openings with 16, though most of these weren’t new businesses but a result of Royal Stacks decision to add froyo to its existing locations. There was a three-way tie for second place between the United States, the Philippines, and Indonesia, each with five openings. Both Myka and Sour Sally opened three outlets this month.
Sadly, we also found seven froyo shop closings.
Openings and closings are listed in alphabetical order by shop name. Note that some shops on this list aren’t primarily froyo shops, but all offer soft serve froyo.
