Launch of the International Frozen Yogurt Association

We are thrilled to announce that the International Frozen Yogurt Association launches today!

The International Frozen Yogurt Association (IFYA) was formed in 2013 to meet the needs of frozen yogurt store operators, suppliers and consumers and to promote the success of the frozen yogurt industry. The IFYA is a brand neutral, independent promoter of global frozen yogurt excellence. We look forward to supporting the frozen yogurt industry for many years to come and would like to thank our founding sponsor, Forte Supply (fortesupply.com).

IFYA promotes the success of the frozen yogurt industry by recognizing quality frozen yogurt stores through its Swirl of HonorTM program, increasing the access to quality frozen yogurt information and by educating and engaging frozen yogurt consumers.

Why form the IFYA? The frozen yogurt industry reached over $1 billion in sales in the US in 2012, the largest frozen yogurt market in the world. Worldwide, sales are estimated at about $2 billion with a compound annual growth rate of 15-18% a year.  As the number of frozen yogurt shops grow in number, so too does consumer interest in frozen yogurt and competition among frozen yogurt shops. Consumers may find it difficult to differentiate between shops. Prospective frozen yogurt store owners may find it difficult to get the information they desire about the frozen yogurt industry. Those in the frozen yogurt industry need to keep track of frozen yogurt trends. This is where IFYA can be of use as an organizing force that recognizes and promotes frozen yogurt excellence, provides access to industry information and experts, and fosters the frozen yogurt community.

If you love frozen yogurt, check out our website, follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and Pinterest, join our frozen yogurt community and talk to us and to each other.  Membership is free, so join today!

We’re also looking for corporate sponsors, advertisers, discussion board moderators, writers/contributors, and tipsters to tell us about frozen yogurt news and events. We want to hear from you!
