February is a short month, so we did see fewer froyo shop openings. We found 20 new froyo shops in 14 countries. The US led the way with 6 openings, 3 of them in California. Llaollao, the largest froyo chain in Europe and Asia, continues to open new outlets every month. In February, llaollao had two openings. In January 2022, we found 31 new froyo shops in 13 countries.
Sadly, we also found five froyo shop closings.

Abyss Market is a liquor store in Valley Village (Los Angeles) that just added self-serve kosher froyo. They offer 10 flavors a day. The toppings are also kosher.

Berry Good Yogurt in Patchogue, New York has closed. The owners posted the following message: “We are sad to announce that Berry Good is officially closed. Huge THANK YOU to our employees, customers and to the Patchogue community for supporting us in the last 10 years!! We will truly miss everyone!”

G.l.o.w., the stylish superfoods cafe in Wynwood (Miami, Florida) with creative froyo flavors, has closed. We’re sad because the flavors sounded so interesting. They had froyo flavors like guava cheese, yuzu melon, and blackberry violet.
Menchie’s, 935 6th St South #935, Kirkland, WA 98033
Menchie’s Houghton Plaza in Kirkland, Washington has closed. The last day was February 10. They posted the following message on Instagram, “Thank you to those of you that have supported us during these difficult times and for the last 5 years. We are sad to leave such a wonderful community. Please join us tonight from 1-8 pm for a final cup of froyo before we close our doors permanently.”

Mickey’s Yogurt, which took over the old sweetFrog space in Riverside, CA, first opened in June 2020 and is now closed. They posted the following message on Instagram: “It is with much regret that we announce our store is closing soon. This is only for the Riverside location. Our last day will be February 15th. If you have gift cards or stamp cards you still have time to use them and we will honor them up to the last minute we close. Many thanks to the Canyon Crest Towne Management. They are awesome landlords! Thanks to our loyal employees who serve you with a smile and keep the store in such beautiful condition.
