There were fewer froyo shop openings in April than in March. We found 46 new froyo shops in 17 countries that opened in April compared to 60 new froyo shops in 23 countries in March.
The Philippines regained the top spot as the country with the most froyo shop openings, with fourteen. Last month, Indonesia had the most openings with thirteen. Second place in March went to the United States, with seven new froyo shops, followed by Thailand with four.
March, we found 60 new froyo shops in 23 countries, compared to February’s 44 new froyo shops in 14 countries. There were more openings than January’s 53 new froyo shops in 16 countries.
The most openings occurred in Indonesia with thirteen, followed by the United States with twelve, and the Philippines with eight. It’s the first time since August 2023 that the Philippines hasn’t had the most froyo openings. Llaollao had the most openings, with five, followed by Chimmy, J CO, and Yole with four a piece. As for stores with the most openings, Chimmy and Uncle Brew both opened three stores a piece in the Philippines.
Sadly, we also found five froyo shop closings, including Milk & Honey in Marianna, Florida, which closed after 12 years in business.
