The pattern of openings and closings in November was similar to October. We found 41 froyo shop openings in 18 countries in November, compared to 42 openings in 18 countries in October. It seems like we always find out about a few more openings later (after our post is published).
As usual, the most openings occurred in the US with eight (including a froyo trailer and a froyo vending machine), followed by Malaysia with seven.
Llaollao, Europe and Asia’s largest froyo chain, opened three new shops: 2 in Malaysia, 1 in the Philippines. Yole opened three new outlets in Malaysia.
Sadly, we also found 12 froyo shop closings. The last Yogurtland in Hawaii closed after 12 years in business. Three of the closings were associated with moves. Two Menchie’s locations in Las Vegas announced their closings on the same day.
