Froyo shops arrived relatively late to Oman and self-serve froyo is relatively rare in Oman. However, the first froyo shop in Oman was a self-serve froyo and gelato shop called Yogelato at Muscat Grand Mall. Yogelato was a new brand created by Oman’s Gulf Brands, a subsidiary of Al Madina Financial and Investment. Their goal was to open Yogelato in neighboring countries.
