As a followup to our posts about customer reviews, we’d like to recognize the froyo shops out there that are the most highly rated. There are different review sites but since Google Reviews typically has the most reviews, we looked at Google Reviews. If there was a tie in terms of the average rating, we chose the shop with more reviews. We did not consider shops with less than 20 reviews.

Summary
We found that the highest rated froyo shops represented a mix of older and newer froyo shops. Thirty-two percent were part of a large chain and 88% were self-serve. Most were single location shops. Based on a quick glance at many reviews, we noticed three attributes were mentioned the most often: variety, cleanliness, and customer service.
Arctic Ape in San Antonio, Texas, was the highest rated froyo shop in the country, according to the criteria we used. Congrats to Arctic Ape!
