April Froyo Openings and Closings
Froyo activity slowed a bit in April. We found 45 new froyo businesses in 22 countries in April, compared to 56 new froyo businesses in 19 countries in March. The Philippines had the most openings again, with seven, followed by Mexico with six, and Malaysia with four.

Froyo Tanzania, a self-serve froyo shop, claimed to have opened the first froyo parlor in 2013 in Dar es Salaam. It wasn’t open for long and the same fate befell other froyo shops.

We found 55 new froyo businesses in 19 countries in March, compared to 50 new froyo businesses in 24 countries in February. The Philippines had the most openings with fourteen, followed by the United States with eight, and Indonesia with six. The Philippines also had the most openings in February, with the US and Indonesia tying for second place.
