YORK PEPPERMINT PATTIE FROYO INTRODUCED AT ORANGE LEAF FROZEN YOGURT

Orange Leaf Asks Fans to Vote for their “Year of the Flavor” Favorites

Oklahoma City (Dec. 2, 2014) – In the final installment of its “Year of the Flavor” campaign, Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt, America’s fastest growing frozen yogurt concept[1], and The Hershey Company have partnered to introduce York Peppermint Pattie froyo, which features pieces of the classic candy that combines rich dark chocolate and refreshing peppermint. The froyo flavor will be available for a limited time at participating Orange Leaf locations across the country until December 28 or until supplies last.

The new York Peppermint Pattie froyo completes the list of “Year of the Flavor” froyo flavors and new products introduced by Orange Leaf in 2014, the most the company has ever introduced in a year.   Continuing its quest to give customers creative control, Orange Leaf will launch a Facebook poll on December 8 asking fans to vote for their favorite flavor from 2014. This year, Orange Leaf introduced Salted Caramel, Chocolate made with Ghirardelli®, Pistachio, Banana, Pink Lemonade, Blackberry Greek, Cinnamon Roll and Pumpkin Spice Latte flavors as well as a variety of new Self-Serve Smoothies.

“Customers loved the many new, inspired and on-trend flavors and products we introduced this year that broadened our already rich flavor selection,” said Reese Travis, Orange Leaf CEO. “We’re eager to hear which flavors were favorites and learn more from our customers on what they’d like us to create in the future.”

As with all other Orange Leaf flavors, customers are invited to invent their own froyo combinations with the new York Peppermint Pattie flavor by mixing, swirling, dividing or topping the frozen yogurt with any combination of fruit, nuts, candy and other healthy or decadent treats from the do-it-yourself toppings bar. This also allows customers to control their portion size and nutritional value to fit their dietary needs and taste preferences. Orange Leaf’s York Peppermint Pattie froyo can be enjoyed in store as a sweet break during holiday shopping, or packed in a To-Go pint and shared with others during holiday gatherings.

To inspire customers’ creations, Orange Leaf suggests the following “recipe” idea for the new flavor. York Peppermint Delight: top or layer York Peppermint Pattie froyo with chopped peppermint candies.

Orange Leaf customers can check their local store’s web page or download Orange Leaf’s iPhone or Android app, to check the other flavors available at stores in December before they visit.
