New Froyo Trucks, the 2014 Update

waka on the moveWe published our roundup of froyo trucks last August and it’s time for a froyo truck update. Froyo trucks are still popular, in fact this year’s list of openings is the longest yet.

In 2014, several large chains, including Menchie’s, Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt SweetFrog, and Wakaberry launched their first trucks. South Africa has their first froyo truck – yay! Switzerland has a froyo truck – yay!

New froyo trucks (August 2013 – November 2014):

  • Berry Culture (Wellington, NZ): Launched by berry farmer, the family’s berries are served on top of real yoghurt, @BerryCulture
  • Chacun Ses Gouts (Paris, France)
  • FrostBites, self-serve fro-yo on wheels, Colorado Springs, CO, @FrostBites
  • FroYo Soul, Minnesota’s only self-serve froyo truck serves organic froyo, @FroYoSoul
  • FroZenYo To Go (Washington DC) serves the metro DC area, @FroZenYoToGo
  • Green + the Grain in Minneapolis, MN offers salads and wraps made with local and organic ingredients, and they have tart organic froyo, @GreenNtheGrain
  • KiwiYo in New Zealand started with brick & mortar locations and added a self-serve fro-yo mobile called YoMobile, @kiwiyonz
  • Menchie’s (Houston, TX and upstate NY): Yes, there are two Menchie’s trucks, the one in Houston was the first
  • Orange Leaf Frozen Yogurt (Watertown, SD): The first Orange Leaf froyo truck
  • Qoola (Vancouver, BC): Qoola named their truck Q*Truck
  • Rolling Sushi (Irvine, CA): Have your sushi and then some froyo for dessert, their schedule  is posted at rollingsushivan.com
  • Snogurt (Malaysia): The Snogurt Express delivers to the Shah Alam and Subang area
  • Sweet Frog Frozen Yogurt (Richmond, VA): The SweetFrog Mobile launched last October
  • Sweet Lily’s (Lexington, KY) started as a brick and mortar shop, now has a froyo trailer, @SweetLilysFroYo
  • Sweet Ride Froyo n’ Waffles (Vancouver, BC): The first day was 9/1/2013, after we posted the 2013 froyo truck list, @SweetRideFroYo
  • Sweet Ride, the first froyo truck in Sydney, Australia launched in January and also serves Belgian waffles, @SweetMyRide
  • Sweetly-Twisted (Greenville, SC): We interviewed the co-owner of Sweetly-Twisted, South Carolina’s first froyo truck, in January, @STFroyoTruck
  • Wakaberry on the Move (South Africa): South Africa’s first frozen yogurt shop (now a rapidly expanding international chain) launched a self-serve froyo mobile unit
  • Yochef (Sydney, Australia): Sydney’s 2nd froyo truck/trailer launched in July 2014, facebook.com/yochef
  • Yogurty’s (Toronto) launched a truck in late 2013 after we posted the 2013 froyo truck list
  • YooMoo’s (Switzerland) mobile unit is called the Yoomoobil

Alexander Wang delighted frozen yogurt and fashion fans in Hong Kong. The Alexander Wang froyo truck gave out free froyo cones to fans.
