Meet Easy Breezy Castro, the Newest Swirl of Honor Recipient

FullSizeRender (1) Easy Breezy’s new San Francisco Castro location is the newest Swirl of Honor recipient. The Castro location joins their other locations in Noe Valley and the Inner Sunset. Like its sister shops, Easy Breezy 3 earned top honors, three swirls. The Castro location swirls 8 flavors a day and has pale purple walls that are new to this location

Easy Breezy features hand-crafted delicious flavors that you can’t find elsewhere, like Lemon Ginger Zinger, Banana Cream Pie (a definite favorite of EB fans), Cherry Marzipan made with organic almond milk, and spicy Oaxaca Chili Chocolate. They offer organic yogurt, non-dairy options, and frozen custard/yogurt blends. The toppings bar always has interesting goodies like potato chips and locally made granola. And they’re eco-conscious.

We caught up with Ariel Ford, co-owner (with husband Durand) to learn more about the newest location.

Q: Why did you choose to open in the Castro?FullSizeRender (2)

AF: We live in the Castro, and have seen such a renaissance in the area with the recent sidewalk improvement project, and appearance of many fine new shops and restaurants.

Q: How does the Castro location compare to your other locations?

AF: Same vibe, same delicious flavors, a few more late-night hours

Q: You’re always creating new flavors – what’s your favorite new flavor?

AF: Non-dairy Basil Lime!!! (made with coconut milk)
