About Jeff: “I have visited frozen yogurt shops in over 35 states, and 7 countries. I have used over 30 models of soft serve machines, and sampled yogurt from every powder and liquid mix supplier that I know of. When I started the business, I knew I had to know it (the frozen yogurt business), and my goal was to target the self-serve model primarily. So I basically went through all the steps that a new store owner would, including researching locations, talking to commercial brokers, contractors, electricians, hvac engineers, lighting engineers, electrical engineers, architects, refrigeration wholesalers and food distributors like Sysco and US Food. Basically I did everything you would need to do to open a new shop. When Forte had success and I started to hire on new employees to help with sales, I had them go through this process, too, and we now have a very extensive training program that enables our team to basically be extremely helpful to business operators we come in contact with.
