Electro Freeze of Nor Cal’s Spring Open House Wrap Up

IMG_9858We’re back from Electro Freeze of Nor Cal’s first open house of 2015. It was truly a “soft serve spectacular.”

The show featured Electro Freeze’s Fuzionate, the world’s first 9 flavor soft serve machine. Fuzionate mixes flavorings with a base mix. The bottles which are stored under the cabinet can accommodate flavorings from any brand. Fuzionate can be used for soft serve ice cream, frozen yogurt, gelato or Italian ice. It features a water flushing system to clean between flavors. The intensity of the flavors can be easily controlled by adjusting the knob that controls how much flavoring is dispensed, from 0 to 10. Each flavor has a separate flavor intensity knob.

Electro Freeze also had other models on display, including gravity fed and pressurized models. Their Genni virtual quality management mobile app is the first soft IMG_9865serve dessert smartphone app; it allows shop operators allows operators to easily track product volume dispensed and cleaning cycles, as well as to easily make product quality adjustments. Electro Freeze soft serve machines, which built the first pressurized soft serve machine in 1946 for Dairy Queen, are manufactured in the US.

Sugar Creek Foods brought Italian ice, soft serve gelato and Honey Hill Farms frozen yogurt. Their new flavors include:

  • Nonfat frozen yogurt: Mountain blackberry, Pineapple upside down cake
  • Soft gelato: Chocolate obsession, Red raspberry, Crème brulee, Black walnut, Pistachio dulce de leche, Belgian cookie

The most popular new flavor at the show was the Belgian Cookie gelato. The Italian iceFullSizeRender (4) had a whipped, smooth, light consistency. It’s even better mixed with soft serve ice cream.

the Hayward open house, distributes Sugar Creek Foods/Honey Hill Farms products.

IFYA’s partner, Payality, experts in time and attendance, payroll, human resources, employee benefits, worker’s comp and retirement solutions, was on hand to answer questions, such as what to expect from California’s new sick pay law.

It was so fun to chat about frozen yogurt (while eating it) and meet froyo store operators, current and prospective.
