Creative Froyo Flavors that We’d Love to Try

Yoplay flavors

As a follow-up to our popular post, Hard to Find Delicious Frozen Yogurt Toppings & Where to Find Them, we bring you a list of creative delicious sounding froyo flavors. These aren’t “weird” or bizarre flavors. These are creative flavors that we’d actually like to try and we share where we discovered these flavors. Flavors do rotate and some are limited time only, so some of the flavors on our list may no longer be available.

Almond Jelly at Menchie’s Japan, we know little about this flavor but saw a picture of the flavor sign on Instagram. Almond jelly is a popular dessert in China and Japan.

Apple Strudel with Caramel, one of Yogurtland’s 2016 Flavor Quest flavors. Yogurtland’s flavorologists are always coming up with creative flavors. Our favorite flavor-centric campaign is Flavor Quest, the annual event where froyo flavors are inspired by the flavors of the world, though no special froyo spoons are involved.

Baklava at Blu Spoon in Australia is made with homemade baklava and it can be topped with more homemade baklava. Blu Spoon is Australia’s first Greek yogurt shop.

Ganesha’s Sweet Greens from Yoga-urt in Glendale, CA tastes like the best green juice you can find but in froyo form. This vegan non-dairy flavor is made with kale, spinach, kiwi, pineapple, dates and fresh spinach. It’s probiotic and organic. Love the fresh mint!

Hot Cross Bun was created by the yogurtologists at Skinny Dippa in Australia. The flavor features currents, spices and secret ingredients.

Joanne Chang’s Sticky Bun at Pinkberry New England. As part of the Celebrity Swirl campaign, Pinkberry New England partnered with executive pastry chef and co-owner of Flour Bakery, Joanne Chang, to create a flavor inspired by her world famous sticky buns. Ten percent of the proceeds from the sale of Pinkberry’s Joanne Chang’s Sticky Bun flavor went to Share Our Strength’s No Kid Hungry campaign. The flavor was available in December 2015.

King Cake from Bing Cherry Frozen Yogurt of Cut Off, Louisiana, hopefully they have this flavor during Mardi Gras time.

Lime & Avocado vegan froyo from Yo-Chi in Australia sounds like it would be extra creamy and fresh.

Moscow Mule from Easy Breezy Frozen Yogurt, a Swirl of Honor shop, in San Francisco, CA. The wizards at Easy Breezy are always coming up with creative new flavors, including non-dairy options. Their flavors are made with organic milk and organic nut milks.

Organic Cherry Pistachio or Strawberry Passionfruit froyo? We have a hard time deciding at Culture: An American Yogurt Company in New York where they make their own Greek yogurt from scratch using local NY dairy.

Pear & Lavender from YOMG Yo My Goodness in Australia, the pear and lavender combination sound so sophisticated, lavender has that effect. Their frozen yogurt is made with Australian milk and yogurt along with locally sourced fruit.

Smoky Maple Almond non-dairy froyo from Eb & Bean in Portland, Oregon. Eb & Bean has created over 100 unique flavors since opening in June 2014. They have a fondness for interesting salty flavors.

Spiced Cranberry at Berryline in Cambridge, MA sounds like the perfect holiday flavor. Mulled wine anyone? They also have a sweet potato pie froyo flavor.

Tahini at Yoplay in Western Australia sounds intriguing. Several of their flavors feature gubinge, a local fruit that’s Australia’s own superfood.

It seems like Australia is the place to go for a creative froyo flavor vacation. They even have several attractive looking froyo trucks. We were so inspired that we created a new Pinterest board just for frozen yogurt shops in Australia. The board also has pictures of Australian froyo trucks.
