We’re back from our first time at Artisanal LA; the Fall Show featured local makers, crafters, artisans, and chefs. The event took place at The Reef in South Central LA on October 10-11, 2015 and included chef demos, workshops, and lots of samples. It’s a shopping event for consumers, similar to Renegade Craft Fair. Tickets were $12 pre-sale and $15 at the door.

There was one froyo vendor, Pasadena’s own Cloud Top, makers of certified organic and vegan frozen yogurt. They partnered with two other Artisanal LA vendors, Solid Coffee and Buzzed Honeys. At the Cloud Top booth attendees could sample the organic tart flavor and the new Meyer Lemon vegan froyo made with coconut and Meyer lemon. A cup of froyo was $5 and included the option to add Buzzed Honeys’ honey on top.

Other dessert offerings included Little Spoon frozen pudding and Modern Pop frozen fruit bars.

The Solid Coffee + Cloud Top collaboration involved new cold brew Solid coffee mixed with Cloud Top frozen yogurt mix. The result looks like a cup of coffee – you don’t see any froyo and there isn’t a strong frozen yogurt taste. The froyo adds a slight tang to the drink. It’s flavored cold brew coffee.

The next Artisanal LA will be the Holiday Market in Pasadena on December 5.
